Christine Yan is a senior born and raised in the suburbs of New York City. Coming from an environment that offers many extracurricular activities, she naturally found herself being involved in her community due to her love for working with others.
Christine is incredibly passionate about pursuing business and technology, stemming from her involvement with Youth About Business' National Leadership Team and from her family's background with computers. Bridging the gap between technology and people through innovation has been the central motivation for what she does. Additionally, as a member of Stuyvesant's Honor Society, she spend a lot of time helping the underprivileged areas through soup kitchens. That desire to help others is also what compels her to give back to her church community, where she is an assistant for teaching lessons to young children. Through these activities, she has been equipped with a diverse and strong skills set that allows her to adapt to different situations and take initiative.
Outside of ZigZag Mommy, Christine is often tutoring underclassmen, working on a new web project, or behind the camera – taking pictures for the school newspaper and yearbook. When not busy after school, she can be found endlessly laughing with her friends while exploring the city for their next favorite food spot.
